Her extremely outgoing personality solidified that she would remain and become a future queen. We have been working on her Grand title with CFA. She is a larger female than most, following in her mother Rory's footsteps and very vocal. She has given us some breathtaking kittens. She is a Tortoiseshell (F) and one of our first females to not have any silver. We hope for her fabulous ears and grumpy face from her father Lazarus to continue on in our lines. Voodoo had a perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. CH Lilith Lilith is our very own Solid Black (N) female with a very distinct appearance. She has great structure, ear tufts, size, fur and an even better personality. We started showing her as a kitten first to see how judges would react and they liked her fierce look. We were able to earn her a Championship Title with CFA. She adds diversity into our bloodlines. We are looking forward to see her fierce look in more of our cats. She has given us some very large and sweet babies. Lilith had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. CH Celeste Celeste is one of our own Black Silver Classic Tabby (FS22) females with a very unique pattern and bright silver to her fur. She has a strong structure, ear tufts, size, magnificent fur and a sweet and playful personality. She is a very free spirited, loving and in your personal space type of girl. We started showing her in the adult "Open" class with CFA and we were able to earn her a Championship Title. She has given us some very impressive size kittens with very stocky bodies. Celeste had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. CH Calypso Calypso is a very striking Tortoiseshell (F) like her sister Voodoo. The unique placement of colors on her face make you keep looking in awe. She is a very sweet and loving girl who will sit with you for hours. She doesn't leave much to be desired from a feline. We started showing her in the adult "Open" class with CFA and we were able to earn her a Championship Title. She had one litter so far with very sweet kittens that love to purr. Calypso had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. CH Neve Neve is one of our very own Solid White with blue eyes (W61) from Kali. Our diamond girl. We were amazed to see another blue eyed kitten born that hears perfectly along with a fellow sister. She is a copy of her father Lazarus in every way. Her personality shines as bright as her white fur, then throw in those baby blues and your heart will melt. She is impossible to say no to. We hope to bring some White polydactyls into our program with her. Neve had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Vega PP Vega is one of our very own Blue Silver Torbie (GS 22) Polydactyl 77/66 on her paws. She is a very large girl with a sweet personality and extra-long ear and toe tufts like her dad. Vega had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. We expected great results. Widow Widow is a new addition to our home. She is a large girl with a sweet personality and is an exceptional color. She is a Black Smoke (NS) from Shaded Bloodlines. We hope to achieve very high smokes with her pairings. She loves to crawl on your chest and sit no matter how big she is. Widow had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Widow will be retiring due to excessive heat cycles. Her health is our first importance. Vivien Vivien has joined us all the way from Germany. She is a stunning Blue Smoke (AS) with a massive tail. She has a goofy personality; she will roll off our lap upside down while lying in bed or sitting on the couch. We have hoped to add more Blues to our program and expect a great outcome from her. • KINGS | Reallycoons

Our handsome males currently in our breeding program. All have gentle, sweet and loving personalities. MEET OUR EXTRAORDINARY KINGS Meet our large, sweet Maine Coon kings with excellent ear tufts and bushy tails! These magnificent cats are not just known for their striking appearance but also for their friendly and affectionate nature. Their playful personalities and regal stature make them a delightful addition to any home. CH Naum aka Lazarus Our first stud that came all the way from Russia from a dear friend. He is a White Maine Coon with blue eyes (W 61). He is the sire to most of our kittens and our foundation lines. He is truly breathtaking and has the sweetest temperament. His ear tufts are to die for, and his grumpy face leads you to believe he is unapproachable, but don't let that fool you because he is a complete gentleman, and those baby blues are magnificent. He holds a CFA Championship Title and has produced many kittens that hold titles as well. We couldn't be prouder of him and his offspring. Lazarus had several perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. He has been RETIRED and lives happily with us. CH Phantom Phantom has earned his CFA Championship Title. He is a solid White (W 63) like his father except he has heterochromia (one blue and one yellow/green eye). He has an exceptional personality also to match. Always a lover since birth and his structure and boning is phenomenal. He is a huge momma's boy. He rolled upside down during his first cat show in the ring doing air biscuits. He can pass his eye color along with blue eyes onto offspring. We can't wait to see how large he is when full grown as he has surpassed his father already. We have been excited for him to step in and fill his father's footsteps. He is only 4 years old, already 24 pounds and has a massive head. Phantom had a perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Tsunami PP Tsunami is our first Polydactyl born in our nursery from "old school" bloodlines. His lines are enormous and have a history of healthy hearts. Tsunami is a solid Black (N) with 6 claws on each paw. We call this 4WD. He was stemmed from a project that we have been working on for some time now. It finally happened, and he joined our program in 2023. His giant head, paws and super sweet personality are added bonuses. He has given us some big kittens, both poly and standard with his sweet temperament. Tsunami had a perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Khal Drogo Drogon joined our home in 2024. He will continue adding diversity and outside lines in our nursery. He is from direct shaded lines. Drogon is a NS (High Black Smoke). He is a color we have been dreaming about producing. He was supposed to be a female and instead we received a male. After several hard decisions we needed to make, we deceided to see if we could make it work. Thanks to the support of several friends and followers we were able to give it a try. He has a sweet personality and took to us instantly, that's when we seen he was actually a boy. He successfully joined our other Kings. Drogon had a perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Drogon will be retired in 2026 and has already found his home. White Des Hauts Du Parc White aka Rune joined our home in 2025. He will continue adding diversity and outside lines into our nursery as others retire. He is from direct shaded lines. Rune is a DS 12 (Red Chinchilla), that means he appears overall a white color, but the very tips of his fur are pale Red. He traveled all of the way from France to join us. We never expected to add a shaded cat to our program, but we couldn't pass on him. His playful and sweet personality was a blessing. He instantly started kneading his paws all over me. We hope to bring in more Reds with his addition and take him to a local CFA show. Rune had a perfect echocardiogram and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative.

Whether you are looking for a new family member, a show cat, or a therapy cat, we are your source for the perfect Maine Coon. We employ Optimal Selection to test the genetics of all our breeding cats and kittens, allowing us to know their blood types and compatibility for pairing. We screen for common Maine Coon genetic diseases such as HCM, PKDEF, SMA, and PKD. All of our breeding pairs undergo echocardiogram evaluations by board-certified cardiologists and hip scans from our vet. We are fortunate to have two excellent cardiologists who make it easy for us to bring our cats in for check-ups. Why check DNA and Have an Echocardiogram completed? Testing DNA and completing a physical echocardiogram on a Maine Coon is crucial for detecting hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a common heart condition in this breed. Early diagnosis through genetic testing can identify carriers of the HCM gene, allowing for informed breeding to reduce the risk of passing the condition to future generations. Additionally, an echocardiogram provides a thorough assessment of the heart's structure and function, helping to monitor any changes and manage the cat's health effectively. Taking these proactive steps ensures a longer, healthier life for your Maine Coon.

Since the day I picked him out Liz sent me constant photos and videos of my boy keeping me updated on his physical and social progress. He has acclimated to my house with his kitty brother and sisters very smoothly, gets along with the 3 of them like he has always been here. Due to the high cost of proper vet care and testing all kings and queens to ensure healthy kittens. ReallyCoons will only use trusted veterinarians. Yes, we are approved by multiple vets. Please know this is expensive for us, and the biggest investment is the time and love we instill into each kitten! Holidays, Vacations, time with family, and countless weeks of sleep are missed to raise these babies. We DO NOT currently sell any breeding rights; this will however change in the future. We will NEVER allow a one-time litter breeding to give to friends and family. Every kitten sold with breeding rights can only be bred by a registered breeder. We do maintain an L.L.C. Price List Kitten prices are based on pairings starting at $3400 (plus 6% Michigan sales tax included). Standard Colors start at $3400. Smokes start at $3600. Silvers start at $3600. Unfortunately, no we do not sell breeding rights at this time. We will in the future. Only breeders with the same ethics and morals with their cats as ours will be able to obtain them. Breeding Rights Wait List Do you have a wait list? We maintain NO RESERVATION LIST but we do offer applications for pre-approval. The approved applications will have priority over the general public. It is YOUR responsibility to contact us if you see a kitten you would like to reserve, and your application is approved. It is impossible for us to remember who wants what and if you haven't already found your kitten. As these are living creatures, we can’t guarantee what gender or when a color of your choice is born, nor if you are wanting only polydactyl. Unfortunately, Mother Nature may take its unforeseen course and we would never want to break your heart, so no deposits are accepted until after litters are born and at least 4-6 weeks of age, with the exception of White kittens, a small number are reserved prior to pairing . This list will contain a maximum number of potential adopters of six and will close until next pairings. We cannot guarantee Blue eyes due to the rarity or if a kitten will remain in our nursery. Return clients will receive a $100 discount on their next kitten if purchased within 6 months, unless otherwise discussed. However, pick of litter, Smoke, High Silver/Shaded colors do not qualify. If two kittens are purchased at the same time , we will offer a better incentive. Note: ReallyCoons does maintain the right to retract the sale and refund the full purchase price if deemed necessary. Do you allow visitors prior to purchasing? No, we are a CLOSED Cattery. This means we do not offer stud services to other breeders or visits to our home until the day of pick up. Our veterinarian agrees with this decision. We have no problem using Facetime or sending a personalized video with your kitten and your name in it. Why? We do everything in our power to limit exposure to viruses and parasites that can be walked into our home. We may have pregnant queens or new kittens on the ground at any given time and would be heartbroken if anything were to happen to them that we could have prevented. Our cats are raised inside our home and not in a separate building or facility. We dedicate an immense amount of time towards our cats health to provide the very best possible outcome. Visiting New clients will ask if they can visit with kittens and choose which kitten they bond with the most. Unfortunately, they are sold long before any visit or bonding experience would happen. This is why our application process is important for us to make sure you are getting the exact personality of kitten or cat that will fit into your home or with your lifestyle. We will remain a "Closed Cattery" for our own safety as well. We will gladly do everything we are capable of to make you feel comfortable and safe about picking one of our fur-babies. Some Education in Maine Coon coats Coats Many people ask “Why is one cat fluffier than another?” and “Why does one have a mane and another no mane?” I can help you understand some of the reasons why. I posted some photos below of Lazarus, Tut and Freya to show the differences. One reason is “Summer coat” or “Winter coat.” As you can see below some pictures show my boys with less of a mane and sleeker fur. These are photos in the summertime here. The fluffier and full mane photos are at the peak of winter here in Michigan. The same applies for kittens. Kittens have a “kitten coat” or their “first coat” of fur they are born with, then they transition into their adult coat. During this time the once fluffy kitten you have can lose their mane or may not grow one until after 1 year of age. Kittens also go through what’s called and “awkward” stage during this transition. So don’t be discouraged if the once fluffy kitten or the not so fluffy kittens fur starts looking different. With growth and age a Maine Coon with develop it’s true coat. Lazarus as a kitten with his "kitten coat" Lazarus with his "summer coat" Lazarus with his full "adult and winter coat" at 4 years old Tut as a kitten with his "kitten coat" Freya as a kitten with her "kitten coat" Tut with his "summer coat" Freya with her "awkward kitten coat" Tut with his "winter coat" at 3 years old Freya with her "adult and winter coat" Frequently asked questions Breeding Practices White Maine Coon Health and Care Adoption Process Do you offer breeding rights for the kittens? No, we don't offer breeding rights for our kittens. All our kittens are sold as pets only and are spayed or neutered before they leave our cattery. This ensures that our breeding practices remain ethical and focused on the health and well-being of the cats.

  • Maine Coon diet: Raw Feeding & Nutrition Guide | Reallycoons

Learn how a raw Maine Coon diet supports health, digestion and energy—get our step-by-step transition tips. Why We Feed Raw Promoting a cleaner and healthier lifestyle for our fur family We made the switch to an all Raw Diet over 7 years ago and haven't looked back. All of our kittens are raised on a completely raw diet from 4 weeks of age. Our litters are stronger, livelier and are more advanced with walking, standing and zooming around their birthing nest after being born. I will admit, it was tough at first, but with the proper knowledge and a little bit of time your family feline will reap the rewards and so will your pocketbook. Plus, we know exactly what goes into their bodies and can streamline their diet for a healthier Maine Coon. ReallyCoons is 100% dedicated to helping new owners of our fur-babies to make the switch. We provide about a week worth of food and our own recipe to all kittens or cats that leave our home. WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY TYPE OF KIBBLE. I will openly speak with clients on how our cats were on high quality wet food, freeze dried raw and kibble. It wasn't until I had a pet boy of mine that had a blood allergy panel completed, that I was in total shock on how many things he was allergic to. This same boy ended up having an intussusception surgery at a year and a half old. Little did I know he was allergic to so many things in what he was being fed daily. Beef, fish, egg, wheat, yeast and rabbit. Mixed fish is in almost everything, along with his favorite cat treats. Rabbit is always recommended in limited diets for cats with allergies. After almost seven inches of his intestines being removed, I knew we had to change things. My mother and I started researching anything and everything we could along with joining groups that fed only raw food. Along the path, we found a wonderful nutritionist Carol who helped fill in some missing questions we had. We learned that the proteins he was allergic to were very different in raw form. Packages say chicken/fish meal or byproducts ... meaning beak, feathers, feet, scales or other parts cats don't naturally eat in the wild. Since our switch to raw, our boy can eat beef, egg and other proteins he couldn't eat in canned or kibble. One of the biggest concerns people have about feeding raw is salmonella, parasites, worms, bacteria, etc. We do actively have PCR's completed on our cats and have never had a single positive test result nor a cat ever get sick from our food. We take all precautions when preparing our food. There are a few easy steps to abide by when feeding raw. We never thaw in warm water, heat our food in any way or leave our meat in the refrigerator for more than three days and we make sure to freeze our food for at least three days prior to even feeding. We are happy to recommend other methods of raw that may be easier to start with until you're ready to take the leap... BENEFITS Providing your cats with a diet that is modeled on what they would eat in the wild has many benefits, both for you and your cat: Improved digestion . Raw meat and bones are digested faster than kibble and commercial foods. The gnawing needed to chew raw, activates the digestive tract before the food even gets inside, making it easier to digest. Insanely reduced stool odor and volume . Seeing is believing. Bowel movements are less frequent and smelly because your cat is digesting more nutrients and will expel less waste. Healthy coat, less shedding, and fewer hairballs are huge benefits. Raw diets are full of essential fatty acids and other nutrients, leading to soft, smooth skin and a shiny coat. Even cats suffering from severe allergies have dramatic overall improvements. Increased energy. More nutrients in a single meal means more energy. More energy leads to a healthier life. Weight loss, if overweight. Raw diet provides leaner body mass because of the omission of carbohydrates and sugars. The high protein levels can be tailored to your cats specific weight needs from batch to batch. Better urinary health . Raw diets, which contain adequate moisture along with appropriate amounts of protein and fat, can help cats achieve a more natural urinary balance of pH and urine concentration. This is highly important in Maine Coons as they can be predisposed to kidney disease. Better dental health . Chewing on raw, meaty bones will scrape plaque and tartar off your cat's teeth and the enzymes in the raw meat will help keep their mouth clean. This means less dental work at your vet and not needing to brush their teeth. I haven't had a cat yet that wants their teeth brushed. Strengthened Immune System . Raw diets are packed full of nutrients and naturally occurring essential fatty acids strengthening the immune system. Owners have found that sick pets have improved greatly even after a short time of being fed a raw diet because the essential fatty acids ease inflammation and infections brought about by weak immune systems. We can also add a few minor supplements to increase immunity. We can also eliminate food allergies. Healthy kidneys . Maine Coons and all cats in general, especially males, are susceptible to kidney stones and crystals. A healthy diet helps prevent urethrostomies or other types of surgeries and kidney disease later in life. Please do not feed kibble . Cats do not consume enough water to compensate for the dryness. Reference: Cat Info Feline Cystitis and Bladder/Kidney Stones Is Kibble Bad for Cats? Vet Nutritionists Talk Dry Cat Food The truth about kibble and the pet food industry How To Transition your Feline Family Member to RaW Transitioning to any food can be difficult at first, but with patience and the right mindset, it can be done. We started out on free feeding kibble and giving wet food at least twice daily. I have a few 8 year old boys that gave me hard time switching but in the end we are now an all raw fed home. We started out with filling their kibble bowls and once they were empty, we never refilled them. I can only imagine what they were thinking "mom has gone mad, she is going to starve us." We continued their wet and increased the amount of feeding times to a max of 3 times daily. We did this method for a month and started to add a tiny bit of raw in with their wet food. Slowly but surely, we were successful. Some took instantaneously to the raw and others took a little while longer. We do grind our own and add a few extra supplements to each batch ensuring they are receiving proper nutrients for our breed. Below is an example of a food transition chart and a few links also aiding in the process of switching. I can't stress how IMPORTANT it is to feed the correct ratios of Protein, Organ, Bone and Fat for proper growth and digestive health. We feed 84% (protein) 10% (organ) 6% (bone) and 25%-30% fat. The incorrect ratios can be detrimental to their health. These ratios agree with all of our cats. Our kittens get the same food as our adults except more bone and a calcium supplement added to their grind. We feed only human grade meats, organs, and bone. Nothing is premade or contains dried bone as it's a choking hazard to all animals. Lastly, none of our meat is cooked or lightly cooked as it changes all of the protein, fat, organ and bone ratios potentially causing diarrhea or constipation. Our Story About ReallyCoons A mother-daughter team dedicated to raising healthy, affectionate Maine Coon kittens with love and integrity. Get to Know Us We are a mother (Jan) daughter (Liz) team that absolutely love our babies. We have an in-home Maine Coon cattery located in Trenton, Michigan — our kittens are adopted throughout all of the United States. We feature European and Championship bloodlines, focused first and foremost on health and longevity. We are registered with both TICA & CFA, actively showing with CFA. My extensive knowledge in the medical and pharmaceutical industry is a great advantage. Whether it's an incubator or an oxygen chamber, we always have what is needed to give our kittens the best start in life. My mother Jan is the backbone of our cattery. She continually strives to research, calculate and improve our raw recipe and ratios to make sure that what we are putting into our cats/kittens is the most beneficial for optimal growth and health. How It All Began It all began over 20 years ago with a girl and her passion for cats. The moment I welcomed my first Maine Coon into my life, I was captivated. Some pets leave a lasting impression, and I realized this breed was meant for me. In 1997, I acquired my first pure Maine Coon — unlike any cat I had known: intelligent, affectionate, healthy, and deeply bonded to me. At six years old, he was diagnosed with HCM after our vet detected a murmur. Thanks to early intervention with two medications, he experienced no progression and lived a joyful life until the age of 19. That experience shaped everything about how we breed today — health comes first, always.

If I am available, I can fly personally with your kitten to the local airport and meet you in the baggage claim area. I do only fly non-stop and directly back as I have little ones to tend to. I do price fairly and am most comfortable doing it this way if you are unable to fly to my airport. Our last option is to find a courier that we trust to handle our kittens, yes, I will not allow just anyone to take our kittens for delivery. This is always the most expensive option. ReallyCoons Freya Freya is one of our first females born here. She is a Black Silver Classic Torbie (FS 22) like her mother Kali. She has the softest and most subtle colors, she also has heterochromia (one green eye and one yellow) which makes her truly unique. Her wild features and luxurious coat made some beautiful babies. She has a special way to even greet you with a chatter from excitement. Her motherly nature was pure instinct. Freya had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative (Retired ). Still looking for her forever home. She will thrive best in a quiet home without children and any dominant animals. She will require time to adjust and does prefer females. She has only had two litters was born 9-5-2020. She must remain on an all raw diet. ReallyCoons Char Char is one of our very own Black Smokes (NS) from our first queen Kali. We were absolutely shocked to have our own gorgeous very first smoke with green eyes. Her name suits her well with her fiery nature. She is a talker and with her expression you question her motives. We were excited to pair her and produce lovely smokes. Char had a perfect echocardiogram / flow-rate and is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. **Char will be retired in 2026 and homed hopefully with one of her kittens.** She was born 9-12-2021 and has had three litters. She must remain on an all raw diet. ReallyCoons Flurry Flurry is a Solid White girl with Gold eyes. The color of gold is slightly different than the other making her unique. She never had a litter and was spayed at 4 months and has resided here with us. She is a very sweet and loving girl who will thrive in a calm home without any dominant animals. She is HCM, PKDEF, PKD and SMA N/N along with FIV/FELV Negative. Flurry was born 10-15-2022 and has never been bred. She must remain on an all raw diet. Nous avons rencontré un problème technique.
